David J. Rubin in, known on the decks as DJ Rubin, has been behind the booth since he was 15. More than two decades later, he's one of Connecticut's most trusted wedding MCs and DJs. As the founder of NYCT DJs, his passion is executing and performing weddings with an energy, vibe, and memorability that leave audiences smiling years later.
What sets Rubin apart is his dual threat ability. On the mic, he's energetic, flowing, and completely in command of the room, from creating viral moments, to dancing with Grandma so all feel included and amped.
Behind the decks, his music knowledge is unparalleled, moving across genres and generations without missing a beat. From Motown to Top 40 to the deepest of house & EDM, so family and college roommates end up on the same dance floor, and a night becomes something guests talk about for years.

Wedding Packages & Pricing
Our wedding entertainment packages start at $2,950, which includes a 5-hour reception, a DJ + MC team, premium sound system, setup and breakdown, and travel within CT and NY, MA, and RI border areas.
We also offer a wide range of enhancements—photo booths, ceremony sound, uplighting, live musicians, and more—so you can customize your experience to match your vision.
Most couples invest between $3,500 and $6,500, depending on the size, location, and extras they choose. Due to demand starting in 2026, peak season minimums will apply for Saturday events.

We recommend booking 9–15 months in advance, especially for peak wedding dates (May–October). Some couples book earlier for popular venues and dates—we often book out Fridays & Saturdays a year ahead.

Yes! We regularly perform at weddings throughout Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Travel is included within a reasonable radius, and we’re happy to quote custom travel fees for destinations outside the tri-state area.

Absolutely. You’ll get a planning form where you can list your must-plays, do-not-plays, ceremony music, first dance, and more. We combine your taste with our flow and experience to create a packed dance floor all night.

Yes, we offer wireless sound systems for ceremonies (perfect for outdoor spaces), lapel mics for officiants, and background music for cocktail hour. These can be added to any package.

The MC/DJ handles the flow—introductions, announcements, and hyping up your guests. It’s the combo that makes the party seamless and unforgettable.
Our DJs focuses on the music, mixing tracks, and keeping the dance floor energized, especially so that the MC can handle formalities and dance floor duties.
Together, they coordinate a b2b set during peak hours to make music, effects, lighting, and dancing all come together.

We’ve got you covered. We have a deep bench and network of professional DJs and MCs in our crew. If an emergency arises, we have backup talent ready —so your event runs smoothly no matter what.
This is why we always send two person teams to every wedding- 1 MC/DJ and 1 DJ Asst, fully prepared with all your ceremony, formality, and party music & equipment day of.
